How come no one is freaking out about the fact that James McAvoy is talking like he’s seen the next X-Men script? FF to 8 minutes.

My friend and I reacted to this too, turning to each other and having a “DID HE JUST—” moment. Sadly I don’t think this is real confirmation, especially with Jason Fleming’s recent commentary that hints that he has no idea if there’s a sequel or not. James is probably alluding to the fact that he can’t get more action-y in a sequel because he’s going to be considerably less mobile in a sequel and also we’ve seen from futureverse!X-men films that Xavier eventually reaches a point in his powers where hand gestures aren’t necessary. :/
Also I think if it was a hint/confirmation, Graham Norton would have drawn attention to it. :( It’s a nice thought though!
So I just watched X-Men First Class, and OH GOD… ALL MY CRYS FOR ERIK AND CHARLES. TT^TT
One of my favorite scenes was when Charles first teaches Erik about serenity and taps into his brightest memory and they share that moment of heartbreaking warmth… I thought it would have been better if Charles had touched Erik to tap into that instead of always putting his fingers to his own temple. Because… I ship them.
So… I brushed up on my semi-realism and ended up with this. Charles doesn’t look quite right in my opinion, and man do their hands need work, but so help me, I’m more comfortable with my silly animu style.
It’s 1:30 AM, I should go to bed and stop doodling First Class.

I got tired of the porn I was drawing last night, so I took a break and… drew some different porn.
And stayed up way too late doing it.
This fandom ruins lives.

I’m not often such a noble person when it comes to this but it reeeeeally bugs me that people are so quick to download the latest copy of X-Men: First Class. This is a movie that is struggling to find reasons (read: box office money) to have a sequel and meanwhile all these people who are desperate for a sequel are downloading it for free. If each of these people spent an extra 10$ at the movies instead of downloading it, the box office numbers might be quite something.
I refuse to watch the cam or the R5. The movie has already left my local theatre but I patiently await the DVD release so I can go and contribute to the possibility of a sequel. I hope that the people who are watching these bootleg copies are also going to do the same. :/

Except it’s totally a scrappy little art drawing thing! That I doodled while trying to write my Japanese farewell speeches (sorry for the kana in the bg). Oh XFC, y u no let me hav norml life??
Someday when those speeches are done I will color it and make it pretty and stuff. along with a bajillion other fanarts cuz srsly guyz this isn’t funny anymore. :P
Getting the X-Men First Class timeline down
When I rewatched this movie I was disheartened by how SHORT the time is between Charles and Erik’s meeting and then their breakup. I always figured the movie took place over the course of a few weeks, maybe 1~1.5 months, tops. Not enough!! D:
Fortunately history stepped in and made me feel better.
At the beginning of the film, after the Hellfire club the General votes to put Jupiter missiles in Turkey. Charles brings this up again in his meeting with the CIA, “I could ask you about your son William but I’m more interested in hearing about the Jupiter missiles currently being placed in Turkey…”. Assuming this movie follows historical timeline (which despite the inclusion of mutants, I imagine it did), these scenes would have taken place in April 1962, and I wouldn’t imagine the Erik/Charles meeting scene takes place any later than May.
The standoff between the Russian ships and American ships, in history, takes place at the end of October 1962.
That’s not one, not two, but FIVE or SIX glorious months together. Right? Of course this is all assuming that they’re following history. There is very little indication in the film either way. :(
In the morning before the battle, Erik and Charles address their unresolved sexual tension….
I’d like to take this opportunity to thank Photoshop, but also James and Michael for being hot in everything they do. It made this creation easy to pull off. ;) Sorry for the speckles on Erik, the bigger version didn’t have them but I needed to downsize to make it Tumblr-size-friendly. :(
